High density polyethylene (HDPE), white powder or granular products. Non-toxic, tasteless, crystallinity 80% ~ 90%, softening point 125~135 ℃, operating temperature up to 100 ℃; Hardness, tensile strength and creep are better than low density polyethylene. Good wear resistance, electrical insulation, toughness and cold resistance; Good chemical stability, insoluble in any organic solvent at room temperature, corrosion resistance to acid, alkali and various salts; The film has little permeability to water vapor and air, low water absorption; poor aging resistance, environmental stress cracking resistance is not as good as low density polyethylene, especially thermal oxidation will reduce its performance, so the resin must be added to the antioxidant and ultraviolet absorber to improve this deficiency. High density polyethylene film under the condition of low thermal deformation temperature, application should pay attention. A Brief History of Development In this century, a revolutionary progress has taken place in the field of pipelines, that is, "plastic instead of steel". With the rapid progress of polymer materials science and technology, the deepening of the development and utilization of plastic pipes, and the continuous improvement of the production process, plastic pipes vividly demonstrate their excellent performance. Today, plastic pipes are no longer mistaken for "cheap substitutes" for metal pipes ". In this revolution, polyethylene pipes are favored and increasingly emit dazzling brilliance. They are widely used in gas transportation, water supply, sewage discharge, agricultural irrigation, mine fine particle solid transportation, oil field, chemical industry, post and telecommunications and other fields, especially in gas transportation. It has been widely used. HDPE is a thermoplastic polyolefin produced by the copolymerization of ethylene. Although HDPE was introduced in 1956, this plastic has not yet reached the level of maturity. This versatile material is also constantly developing its new uses and markets. China's domestic high-density polyethylene (the high-density polyethylene here does not include the high-density polyethylene produced by the full-density polyethylene plant) is produced by PetroChina, Sinopec and CNOOC. As of the end of 2006, there are four sets of high-density polyethylene plants belonging to PetroChina, namely Lanzhou Petrochemical High-density Polyethylene Plant, Daqing Petrochemical High-density Polyethylene Plant, Liaoyang Petrochemical High-density Polyethylene Plant and Jilin Petrochemical High-density Polyethylene Plant. High-density polyethylene is usually manufactured by Ziegler-Natta polymerization, which is characterized by no branching on the molecular chain, so the molecular chain arrangement is regular and has a high density. In this process, ethylene is used as raw material in a tubular or tank type low pressure reactor, and oxygen or organic peroxide is used as initiator to initiate the polymerization reaction. High density ethylene is environmentally friendly material, heating to the melting point, can be recycled. It should be noted that plastic raw materials can be divided into two categories: "thermoplastic" (Thermoplastic) and "thermosetting plastic" (Thermosetting). "thermosetting plastic" becomes cured after being heated to a certain temperature, and its state cannot be changed even if heating is continued. Therefore, products with environmental protection problems are "thermosetting plastic" products (such as tires), not "thermoplastic plastic" products (such as plastic pallet note: pallets are called "plywood" in Hong Kong and Macao), so not all "plastics" are not environmentally friendly.

A Brief History of Development
